The Tobacco Tax Report Card aims to assist policy makers, tax and health officials and advocates in attaining the common fiscal and public health objectives of saving human lives, saving on health care costs and providing sustainable funding for tobacco control and health promotion. The 2012 version depicts the situation of tobacco tax systems in the ASEAN region at that time and provides recommendations on how these can be improved.
