1978 Declaration of Alma-Ata on Primary Health Care

The Declaration of Alma-Ata expresses the need for urgent action by all government, health and development workers, and the world community to protect and promote the health of all the people of the world. In this Declaration, governments impose upon themselves the responsibility for the health of their people fulfilled only through adequate health and social measures.
